An emergency Drupal rescue for Corepoint Health

Corepoint Health, developer of a software system that integrates different patient information systems within healthcare institutions, had a growing body of web content challenges including cross-department authoring and multimedia asset management. Their site was built on Drupal 6 and needed to be upgraded to Drupal 7 in order to support the organization’s expanding content management needs.

But Corepoint needed more than just a Drupal upgrade. Classroom customer training had become a priority and an eCommerce registration tool was required. Furthermore, Corepoint wanted to revamp it’s online customer community to be a vibrant online destination filled with knowledge base articles and customer support resources. Improving multi-content type search, social sharing and video capabilities were also among the list of project objectives.

Upgrade and migrate their content to the latest version of Drupal, collaborating with their marketing team. Include an e-commerce licensing module and customer community.

Our work on the Corepoint Health website improved the user experience for both administrators and visitors.

For the first time, Corepoint Health was able to maintain the site themselves, as our Drupal-based solution empowered them to add, remove, and arrange content on their site, greatly reducing site maintenance overhead.

Switching from a custom-built and no longer maintained eCommerce system to Ubercart allowed the company to save up to $8,000 per year in credit card processing fees, as they integrated their payment processing with their new merchant payment provider.

Our search system also included a searchable glossary – this glossary produced internal links and keywords which improved SEO results.

Integrating video publishing with Wistia simplified the video uploading and managing process, eliminating many video publishing errors and caching problems while giving marketing in-depth video analytics.

The Integration Generation blog went from a seldom-used feature of the site to an active source of industry and product information, with improved blog readability, topic navigation, and administrative ease of use.

Even though the scope of changes was significant, Corepoint’s multi-author publishing workflow was simplified.

Providing more than just a Drupal upgrade, Praxent developed a solution that delivered on Corepoint Health’s business goals for stronger customer relationships, valuable training opportunities and access to core marketing insights.
